Museum

Hey!

This week was pretty good. Nothing too exciting happened. Everything is going well! We are working very hard to prepare more people for baptism! If everything works out, we should be having 6 more baptisms next week! They will be Maria (a mute girl who is amazing!), Anibal, Lot, Elson, Rosaldo (the grandkids of Rosa) and Elizabeth (a daughter of a member). The work is for sure accelerating here in Mahotas!

Sorry I don't have a lot to say today! I am sure there will be more next week!

Seya!

We went to a Mozambique museum last P-day. It was pretty ghetto... But here is a selfie with me and a Zebra being killed by a Lion. Enjoy. :)
If you ever wanted to see me with corn rows. Here it is.
Me being a gangster with a giant sloth.
I bought a moose hat on the side of the road for less than a dollar. If you didnt know, my favorite animal is a moose. So I had to buy it.
Here is a picture from the Mission Tour. This is me and Elder Stephens, from Kansas.

Semeando

Wow. What a great week!

First off. Happy 4th of July! I hope you all had a great holiday. We did nothing... I mean we had a Mission Tour/Zone Conference yesterday (that is why I did not email yesterday) We had America-themed cupcakes and sang 'God Bless America', so I guess that is it.

But speaking of the Zone Conference, it was great! We had Elder Ellis- from the 70- visit and train us. It was great! He talked a lot about enduring to the end, temples, and faith. For the conference I joined the choir. So it was the Sisters and a couple of Elders. We sang a song named 'Semeando' which translates to 'Sowing'. It was a lot of fun.

But for sure my highlight of this week was the baptism of Odete!!! As I have said, she was easily the most prepared person that I have found on my mission this far. The baptismal service was amazing and I felt the spirit stronger in this baptism more than any other service I have been to yet. I know the Lord has big plans for her. The weather was awful on the day of the baptism but we still had a great turn out! The water in the font was ice cold! I literally felt like someone poured ice in there..... Then on Sunday she got confirmed and she even bore her testimony in testimony meeting. I am still amazed at the amazing testimony she bore. She will forever be an example to me. She has only missed 1 day of church since we have found her! And she lives extremely far from the chapel. I may or may not have shed some tears during sacrament meeting during her testimony. No shame.

That is about it. I will try sending a couple pictures today. have a great week!!! I love you all!

Here is a picture with me and Odete and some 8 year old who was also getting baptized.
